On behalf of the brothers of the International Business Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi at the University at Albany, we would like to invite you to our 1st Annual Golf Outing. Over the past 40 years our chapter has helped employers find exceptional candidates which have become assets to their firms. Throughout the academic year we hold a number of professional events featuring major companies in all aspects of business. This semester our chapter is looking to expand our relationships with professional organizations in an attempt to create a long-lasting and mutually beneficial event for everyone involved. We hope that you will be able to meet the University at Albany’s best and brightest at this year’s outing.
The 1st Annual Delta Sigma Pi Golf Outing will be held on Saturday, May 5th from 11am until 8pm at the Beekman Country Club, in Hopewell Junction, NY. For those participating in the outing, a continental breakfast will be served at 1130am. Included in the full registration fee are: the aforementioned continental breakfast, green fees, parking, and dinner. For those that wish to attend without wanting to golf in the tournament, a reduced ticket includes the same package as above, except for the golfing.
For those participating in the tournament, there will be prizes for the winning teams, as well as individual hole contests. Putting contests and raffle drawings during dinner will be open to anyone that attends the event. The cost of attendance is $200 for a full ticket and $100 for a non-playing ticket.
In addition to enjoying a relaxing day on the links at one of Dutchess County’s premier golf clubs, professionals will get a chance to meet some of the best that the University at Albany’s School of Business has to offer. Our aim is to create an environment where company representatives and students can get to know each other. Foursomes will contain two professionals and two students, with similar career interests.
For those that choose not to play in the tournament, we strongly encourage you to attend as well! Get a chance to meet some aspiring young professionals throughout the day and during the dinner events. Whether you’re an avid golfer or an occasional driving-range participant; from green-in-regulation to mulligan, from flop shot to three-putt, Delta Sigma Pi invites you to attend what is sure to be an extraordinarily memorable event!
Finally, this event will not only be for recruitment purposes but also serving to establish the first annual, $500 DSP Open scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded through the School of Business at SUNY Albany. Thus your registration fee not only gets you a unique recruiting opportunity but a chance to contribute to establishing a scholarship to help students.
